“Our local community matters to us and we know every donation or hour volunteered can make a big difference. We can all do more together.”
I’m Martin, the CEO and Co-Founder of DigiHaul. It breaks my heart to see so many trucks running empty so I wanted to create a transport community that supports each other to reduce their carbon footprint.
That’s why I set up DigiHaul, to tackle the wider issue of empty road miles. It’s a pretty simple business plan, share data, share fleet and build back loads.
The team at DigiHaul and I, are working hard to change mindsets and drive down carbon, whilst digitalising an industry that’s stuck in the 1990’s!
With Oasis making a comeback, we can definitely “maybe” generate some positive nostalgia for business leaders and transport operators to make a positive change for the benefit of our future generations.
As the CIO for DigiHaul, I’m responsible for both our product roadmap and our day to day IT operations – if it has a plug on it, the IT team are here to save the day! It also includes customer integrations and new feature development for key topics such as information security and compliance.
Having a background in business-facing IT roles helps solve the problems of today and of tomorrow – alongside having a high-performing team of technology experts, which I’m very proud to lead.
Outside of work, my activities are all centred around family – bike rides, forest walks, and camping being our favourite Team Parkin activities. I’m also an amateur musician, having tried desperately to re-live my youth by forming a Dad Band a few years ago. There aren’t any number-one hits on the horizon just yet, but watch this space…
